Syllabus - Youth

The HPA is the administering authority in the United States, Canada and Australia for youth Pammachon ranks up to Level 1.

Initially, stance and general movement are emphasized.  The science behind the stance and general tactics utilized by Pammachon practitioners is now supported by NATO (see tab above); per project engagement of headmaster Kostas Dervenis.

Previous to successfully passing the Level 1 examination, students are tought "tapping contact"; as opposed to the adults that are taught striking power previous to the Level 1 exam. Passing the Level 1 examination makes a youth student eligible for "tapping contact" Pankration competition.  It is a dynamic format that enhances the training experience, stressing safety while enforcing the tactical needs of the full contact adult Sport Pammachon.

Above Level 1, students will be introduced to hitting with power during bagwork (κωρυκομαχία), advanced grappling techniques,  κοντάρι training, knife and club defenses/disarms, and tactics using their now programmed stance (ie. Πάμμαχον is not boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, Judo, MMA, kali, Krav Maga, etc ). The youth syllabus mirrors the adult Pammachon syllabus up to Level 2; as published by the ΔΕΠ (International Pammachon Union) headquartered in Papingo, Hellas:

The ΔΕΠ is recognized as the world governing authority for Pammachon by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
